Danish Kaneria, a former Pakistani spinner, thinks Ambati Rayudu and Sanju Samson have been treated unfairly by the Indian team management.
Kaneria asserted on his YouTube channel that Rayudu’s career has been harmed by the Indian selectors’ failure to provide him with enough opportunities.
He also mentioned how performers like Unmukht Chand had to go to the US as a result of constant rejection.
“Ambati Rayudu was another player who suffered greatly as a result of such selections. The team’s management harmed his career by not providing him with enough opportunities. Then there’s Unmukt Chand, who traveled to the United States to play cricket. There are other players like him who were not given opportunities at the correct time” Danish Kaneria Said.
As Samson is being benched in spite of their strong performance, Kaneria suggested that something similar is taking place with him. If the wicketkeeper-batter had received regular opportunities, he contended, his career would have advanced to new heights.
“Sanju Samson would have created a name for himself in international cricket if he had been given these many chances. He’s been crying because he has to sit out. Shikhar Dhawan and the team management have no response to this. It is horrible” Danish Kaneria Added.
“Teams are now being formed based on personal liking”: Danish Kaneria
Danish Kaneria emphasized that the team had done everything possible to prevent Pant from being dropped, including having him bat in a variety of positions during white-ball cricket.
“These are the outcomes that you will receive when you are unjust to your teammates.” India has been extremely unjust to several players and is jeopardizing their careers” Danish Kaneria said on his Youtube channel.
” Personal preferences are now being used to form teams. Giving the player more chances, changing the positions of others just to ensure that the specific player scores runs and does not get dropped” Danish Kaneria remarked.
New Zealand recently defeated the Shikhar Dhawan-led team 1-0 in an ODI series. Pant is included in both the ODI and Test teams, but the team’s regular skipper Rohit Sharma is expected to lead the team on their forthcoming tour to Bangladesh.
