Indian Cricket Team registered a commanding victory against mighty New Zealand in the 2nd T20I. The Men in Blue won the match by a huge margin of 65 runs and dominated the terms. Hardik Pandya, the skipper was seen marshalling his troops and was bang on with his field placings.

New Zealand on the other side would be crestfallen as their batters hardly showed any intent. The skipper Kane Williamson’s approach was quite questionable as the right-handed batter consumed a lot of dot balls while smashing the half-century.

Wasim Jaffer on Hardik Pandya

Wasim Jaffer was having an interaction with ESPNcricinfo and was asked about Hardik Pandya. ” I think Hardik Pandya has shown tremendous maturity, the way he led in IPL and the way he handled everyone. He himself performs so well. I am not surprised by the way he has captained , his own performance doesn’t drop which is a good thing. I think he will probably take those 50-50 decisions and not play safe, he is that kind of player himself. In the future we are going to see more of it,” said Wasim Jaffer.

Hardik Pandya an Asset

The flamboyant all-rounder would cherish the opportunity of captaining the team. The skipper would be well aware of the fact that the rest of the batters need to contribute as every-time Suryakumar Yadav won’t play a significant knock. There are chances that Shreyas Iyer may bat at the no.3 position as the batter is someone who can provide stability to the innings.

With Kane Williamson not available for the match, India now has a golden chance to win the T20I Series with a bang. Mark Chapman is expected to fill his spot, the left-handed batter would be aware of India’s bowling attack as the bowlers hardly gave any freebies.

The Men in Blue would be hoping that Rishabh Pant plays his natural game rather than getting into the shell. India has a great chance to make sure that they win their consecutive T20I Series in New Zealand as last time in 2020 they had won by 5-0.
