The 2nd ODI between India & New Zealand was washed out due to incessant rain. The Men in Blue had managed to score 89-1 in 12.5 overs. Suryakumar Yadav was seen in blazing form as the right-handed batter scored an unbeaten knock of 34 runs in 25 balls where he smashed 2 fours and 3 sixes.
New Zealand would be eyeing winning the Series in the 3rd ODI. Skipper Kane Williamson would be hoping that the openers give the team a rollicking start as every time the middle order batter won’t bail out the team.

Suryakumar Yadav on Knock
Suryakumar Yadav was having an interaction with ESPNcricinfo and was asked about his 2 favourite knocks. “I think the one which I got on debut… debut fifty. We won that game so that is very special to me,” said Suryakumar Yadav.
“There was a knock which I played in Qualifier 1 in 2019 between MI and CSK in Chennai. It was a tricky chase of 130-135 runs. There I got 70 not out and we won that game. So that is also very special. I can watch that innings again and again,” he added.
Exciting Contest on Cards
The 3rd ODI between India and New Zealand promises to be a fascinating contest. Men in Blue would be hoping to end the tour on high as earlier they had won the T20I Series by 1-0.
India would be banking on the star left-handed batter Shikhar Dhawan to give the team a rollicking start as he has the knack of playing long and significant innings.
Head Coach VVS Laxman will have to pull a rabbit out of the hat as New Zealand is on a roll. The management has a conundrum with Sanju Samson as playing him would mean that the team has only 5 bowling options.
It would be interesting to see whether the management takes the bold decision of dropping Rishabh Pant as the batter has looked scratchy.
