New Zealand Cricket Team had won the toss and decided to bat first. Kane Williamson was out of the fixture and in his absence, Tim Southee captained the side. New Zealand managed to put in a par total of 160 runs where the team was bundled out inside 20 overs.

Glenn Phillips and Devon Conway were the stand-out performers as the duo struck half-centuries, The duo frustrated the bowlers by rotating the strike. The Black Caps would rue the fact that they were not able to finish on a high as a score of around 180 runs would have been more competitive.

Suryakumar Yadav, the dashing right-handed batter didn’t trouble the scorers this time as he scored 13 runs in 10 balls. The batter was adjudged the player of the series for his scintillating century in the 2nd T20I. It won’t be wrong to say that the batter is making batting look easy with his stylish shots.

India’s score at the end of 9 overs was 75-4 and at that time the rain got heavier. At the DLS method, India was tied with New Zealand’s score and later due to incessant rain, the match was declared tied and India won the Series by 1-0.

During the post-match presentation, Suryakumar Yadav was asked about his performance. “Really happy with the way things have gone till now, would have loved a full game here but as Siraj said the weather is not in our hands. The pressure is always there and at the same time I’m enjoying my batting, just going there and expressing myself,” said Suryakumar Yadav.

“Not carrying any baggage out there. The intent and approach will remain the same. We can just go out and express ourselves, would have loved a full game, but that’s fine,” he added.
