The 28-year-old right-arm pacer Mohammed Siraj and the 23-year-old left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh delivered spectacular spells in the third and final T20I match of the series against the Tim Southee-led New Zealand National Cricket Team at McLean Park in Napier on Tuesday, November 22.

New Zealand National Cricket Team won the toss and opted to bat first in the match. The opening duo of Finn Allen and Devon Conway once again failed to build a good partnership as the 23-year-old Allen, who got out for a duck in the second T20I, was dismissed by Arshdeep Singh for 3 in the second over.

Also, Mark Chapman was sent back by Mohammed Siraj for 12 in the 6th over and at the end of the powerplay, the Black Caps were at 46/2.

Then, Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips showcased a batting masterclass and had a brilliant 86-run partnership in 63 deliveries. The Kiwis were at 130/2 with Conway and Phillips going strong but Siraj broke the partnership by dismissing Glenn Phillips in the 16th over and in the very next over Arshdeep dismissed Devon Conway.

After the 86-run partnership was broken, the Black Caps lost wickets at regular intervals and they were bundled out for 160. Notably, New Zealand struggled heavily against the Indian bowlers in the last 5 overs as they lost 8 wickets in that period and scored just 39 runs.

Siraj was the pick of the bowlers as he dismissed Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, James Neesham and Mitchell Santner to finish his spell with the figures of 4-0-17-4.

Arshdeep, on the other hand, complemented Siraj perfectly and dismissed Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell and Ish Sodhi to finish his spell with the figures of 4-0-37-4.

This was the first time ever two Indian bowlers managed to take a 4-wicket haul in the same T20I match. Also, Siraj and Arshdeep became only the second and third Indian after Deepak Hooda to bag a 4-wicket haul in T20Is against New Zealand National Cricket Team.
