WI vs IND: West Indies Cricket Celebrates Shai Hope's 100th ODI As Desmond Haynes Presents Him With A Special "Commemorative Shirt"

West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran won the toss and chose to bat first against India in the second One-Day International on Sunday at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.
India won the first ODI by three runs in a thrilling encounter to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
Avesh Khan was handed his debut. Prasidh Krishna had to make way for him.
Although the Nicolas Pooran-led side put up a good fight against Shikhar Dhawan and company in the first ODI, they fell just short. Shai Hope will make his 100th appearance for the West Indies in the second ODI.

India on the other hand, is playing the series without regular skipper Rohit Sharma, as well as players such as Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and KL Rahul (who has reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 after a period out due to injury and surgery).

Shai Hope in 99 ODIs has scored 4078 runs for the West Indies. He has 12 hundreds and 20 half-centuries to his name in the 50-over format. He has played 22 ODIs against India and has scored 758 runs at an average of 44.50 with a couple of hundreds and a high score of 123 not out which came at Vishakapatnam in 2018 when he hit the last ball of the chase for a boundary to tie the game for the West Indies in a high scoring thriller.
