CSK vs DC: Revealed - Why Ravindra Jadeja Is Not Included In CSK's Playing XI Tonight vs DC

Ravindra Jadeja has not been in the best of forms in IPL 2022 as he has struggled with both and ball.

He was handed over the captaincy by MS Dhoni just ahead of the season, but Chennai Super Kings under his captaincy won just 2 games out of the 8 they played. Jadeja could not take the pressure and handed the captaincy back to MS Dhoni. Two games after handing back the captaincy to Dhoni, Jadeja finds himself out of the side for CSK’s game against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. MS Dhoni during the toss revealed why Jadeja isn’t playing tonight.

Ravindra Jadeja Has Been In Terrible Form In IPL 2022

Jadeja in IPL 2022 has managed just 126 runs from 10 games. His average has been just 19.33 and his strike rate has been just 118.38. In bowling too, Jadeja has been extremely poor. He has taken just 5 wickets from 10 games at an average of 49.60.

In the last two seasons, Jadeja’s form was exceptionally good as he scored runs at a much higher strike rate. His bowling was also good in the last season. But this season, he hasn’t been up to the mark.

During the toss against DC, CSK skipper MS Dhoni said that “Jaddu is not fit and Dube comes in.”

On the team’s performance this season, MS said, ” We had a bad season earlier but we made the most of it. It really helped us. When there are a few changes after a big auction, sometimes you need to see what is the best combination.”

CSK, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, multiple time IPL champions have struggled this season which could be a result of a new team after the mega auctions.
