GT vs CSK: "Rashid Khan Came As An Out Of Syllabus Question" Says Aakash Chopra Of Gujarat Titans' Chase

Aakash Chopra has stated that the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were taken aback by Gujarat Titans (GT) stand-in team captain Rashid Khan’s match-winning cameo in Sunday’s IPL 2022 match.
Khan wrecked 40 runs off 21 balls and shared a 70-run 6th stand with David Miller to assist the Titans to achieve the 170-run target with such a ball to spare. His spectacular attack in the 18th over, bowled by Chris Jordan, assisted the Ahmedabad-based franchise win the match.
While watching that the Titans had a catastrophic beginning, Aakash Chopra doubted Vijay Shankar’s spot in their starting XI. He stated, ”
“I was stunned when Shubman Gill was out in the first over. Vijay Shankar came in at No. 3 and was also out for zero. Please play Sai Sudarshan; whatever he played was excellent. Vijay Shankar is batting as a pure batter, but he is not scoring runs.”

He had this to say about Miller and Khan’s game-changing partnership:
“I said over when Tewatia came out. But David Miller and Rashid Khan made an incredible comeback. Rashid Khan appeared as an off-the-cuff question; he bats and scores runs. Chris Jordan was annihilated.”
Chopra stated that the Gujarat Titans have been almost performed after having lost dozens of wickets early in their innings. He elaborated:
“At No. 4, Abhinav Manohar was given the ball. He shoots a few shots and then exits. When Wriddhiman Saha left, it appeared that the situation had gotten out of hand. Rahul Tewatia was being overly cautious, which was not going to work.”
Hardik Pandya’s apparent lack in the batting unit was not felt by the Gujarat Titans, thanks to David Miller and Rashid Khan.
The Titans’ blazing efforts helped them earn their fifth win of the IPL 2022 season and maintain their lead at the top of the points table.
