GT vs PBKS: Aakash Chopra Believes 'Poor Performances Could Impact GT Opener Shubman Gill's Chances Of Representing India'

Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra believes that Gujarat Titans (GT) starter Shubman Gill’s bad performance in the IPL 2022 could jeopardize his probability of getting the Indian team.
Gill, 22, had a strong start to his IPL 2022 season, scoring 84 runs against the Delhi Capitals (DC) and 96 runs against the Punjab Kings (PBKS). However, in the six games since then, he has scored a total of 31 runs, the greatest of which occurred in the franchise’s most recent game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Chopra advised Gill to improve his performance, adding,
“Shubman Gill needs to get his bat back in the game and start scoring huge runs.” Gujarat is making do without his big scores, but the selector is keeping an eye on him since he isn’t getting runs, which isn’t helpful for him.”
“Hardik Pandya, meanwhile, has cooled off a tad. They are doing fine without his contributions, but if he does not score, the squad will be trouble in the long run.”
“GT has great bowlers, but they don’t perform well in every game’: Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra acknowledged that Gujarat has a high-quality bowler’s assault when asked about it. He did, however, commend the team for discovering ways of winning even though their best bowlers were having bad days.
Aakash Chopra said, “GT has great bowlers, but they don’t perform well in every game.” In the last two games, Lockie (Ferguson) has been conceding runs. Rashid Khan is also going for several runs rather than taking many wickets. Despite this, they manage to stay relevant and win games. They’re all surprising each other.”
In the Gujarat Titans’ last two matches, Rashid and Ferguson have only taken one wicket each.
On Tuesday, the Gujarat Titans will face the Punjab Kings at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
