Credit To The Confidence Of Rahul Tewatia and David Miller: Hardik Pandya

Gujarat Titans have been one of the most exciting teams to watch this season mostly because of the way they have played this season. They have won games from situations no one would have expected them to win. Each time they have had different players putting their hands up. It also shows in the way that out of the 8 wins they have had this season, 7 different players have got player of the match.

When asked about this in the post-match presentation Hardik Pandya said, “That’s the beauty of this team, people coming in and showing what they can do in clutch situations is becoming quite a habit, something I don’t mind happening. We always back them to do it, but they’re defying odds time and again.”

When he was specifically asked about Rahul Tewatia and David Miller and Rashid Khan, he said, “Credit to their confidence level the self-belief that they’re having, making sure they can finish games. To be very honest, we don’t play to what people say, at the end of the day, it’s up to yourself to improve, that’s what we want. I have had a lot of chats with Rahul (Tewatia), you can see that self-belief, if you can finish games like this, you need to be super cool. That makes you think that 7, 8 or even 9 can make you win.”

Gujarat Titans now already have a foot into the playoffs, even if they win just 1 game out of the remaining 5, they should be through to the playoffs.
