Before the big game on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Australian legend and former Chennai Super Kings batter Matthew Hayden has picked his choice between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals as the winner of the IPL 2022 final.

The journey began on March 26 with 10 teams, and the IPL winner for the 15th edition would now be concluded between two teams – Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.

Gujarat Titans are one of the IPL’s 2 new franchises, and they’ve had a relatively easy road to the final, placing first in the table and then winning Qualifier 1 to earn a spot in the summit showdown, that will be contested in front of their home fans.

Rajasthan, on the other side, has advanced to the final for the first time in 14 years. The last occasion Rajasthan made it to the final was in 2008, when Shane Warne, who died suddenly this year, overcame all odds to help his team to IPL title victory in its maiden season. As a result, Rajasthan will be hoping to pay Warne the ultimate honor by winning their second title.

Matthew Hayden gave a warning sign for the Titans:

“Their 4,5,6 have been just fantastic. However, this bouncy wicket, which is quite similar to an Australian wicket, could be a very worrisome indication for Gujarat Titans,” Matthew Hayden Said.

Rajasthan and Gujarat have already played each other twice this season. Gujarat has won both games, the most recent being a Qualifier 1 victory over the Royals. RR and GT will face off in the long-awaited IPL 2022 final on Sunday, May 29. At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the competition is set to begin at 8:00 PM IST.
