Inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan Royals(RR) kick off their IPL 2022 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 29, in Pune. It is the fifth game of the season and the first game for both teams. They added 21 players to the squad along with the three players they retained ahead of the mega auction.

RR are placed in group A alongside Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals and the newcomers Lucknow Supergiants. The IPL 2022 will be a 10-team event with as many as 74 matches to be played across 65 days.

In 14 matches, he managed to score 484 runs at an average of 40.33 and a strike rate of 136.72. He hit one century and two half-centuries during the tournament.

However, despite his heroics, the franchise finished at the bottom half of the point table.
