Captains like Pant, Iyer, Mayank, and Hardik are attracting a lot of attention among the younger generation as fans and analysts assess their ability to lead India in the future.

When Rishabh Pant was the vice-captain for India in the T20I series against Sri Lanka, he shared certain leadership responsibilities and also led the team briefly during a game when Rohit Sharma had to leave the field for unclear reasons.

When presenter Mayanti Langer asks Morrison to identify one of the Indian teenagers who “impressed him the most,” he chooses Pant, saying, “I like what I see in him, He exudes self-assurance”. When you see MS Dhoni, it’s almost self-evident. When you’re a wicketkeeper, you have one of the greatest seats in the house because you can see everything that’s going on. You take in the scene as it unfolds.

“It takes a certain quality to anticipate and be ahead of the game. It also goes well if you are calm about things, as MSD (MS Dhoni) is. As a result, it’s difficult to ignore Rishabh. What I see appeals to me ”  Danny Morrison remarked.
