According to the standards upheld by the BCCI, fixtures of teams that failed to present a playing XI amid the COVID-19 emergency will be delayed. If not possible, the issue will allude to the IPL Technical Committee and an official decision will be taken.

“BCCI, at its discretion, will attempt to reschedule the match for later in the season if a team cannot field a playing XI due to COVID-19. If this is not possible, the issue will be referred to the IPL Technical Committee,” states the rule. In the meantime, we are nearly toward the finish of the first leg of IPL 2022. Up to this point, all matches have been directed without a hitch and the BCCI wouldn’t need any problem in the impending games too.
