Hardik Pandya began IPL 2022 with a boom. He pummeled two significant fifties in the initial four games, wound up in the race for the orange cap, and bowled his heart out, getting 4 wickets in the initial five matches with an economy rate of 7.75. However, at that point, he missed a match because of a physical issue.

Pandya got back to Gujarat Titans’ playing XI in the following match itself however since that injury, his display with the bat has gone down radically. He scored just 116 runs in six matches since his return from injury and didn’t bowl in five straight matches.

Hardik Pandya Wanted To Prove The Doubters Wrong: Ajay Jadeja

Even though Pandya’s captaincy has dazzled everyone as he drove GT to the end of the season games his fitness and form with bat and ball indeed began to lead to uncomfortable inquiries. Former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja said Pandya “tried to show off” all in all too much toward the beginning of the competition and in the end wound up harming himself once more.

“He (Hardik Pandya) has no one to blame but himself. There was no doubt that he was injured, he was making a comeback. He bowled at 140 km/h, which was perhaps more than what the team required. He probably tried to show off that he can do it, wanted to prove to the doubters wrong,” Jadeja said on Cricbuzz.

Hardik Pandya Once Again Showed His Immaturity: Ajay Jadeja

The Former India batter said Pandya was ‘immature’ in the manner he took care of his body and responsibility.

“He put in all his effort and body… So much that now he can’t even run properly. And this is a learning phase of life. A cricketer gradually understands his limits. So once again it showed his immaturity.

“He had 14 matches show his might but he perhaps wanted to prove people wrong a bit too early. And now it has cost him as well as Gujarat Titans. You should know your body. You can’t be working according to others. He was immature,” Jadeja said.

GT is right now sitting on top of the IPL 2022 points table and they would mean to push the force along by winning the leftover matches and remaining on top. Assuming they finish in the top two, they will have two chances to progress to the finals as indicated by the playoffs format.
