Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowler Harshal Patel communicated his pleasure following a well-deserved prevail upon the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The Faf du Plessis-drove side arose triumphant by 13 runs at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Harshal Patel was at the core of the triumph in the wake of being decreed as the player of the match for his spell of 3/35. The right-arm pacer was persuasive in the last phases of the second innings, guaranteeing the wickets of Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, and Dwaine Pretorius.

The 31-year-old has 13 wickets from 10 matches in IPL 2022 at an economy of 7.79.

Patel’s wickets in the death overs were significant for RCB to end their three-match series of failures. The franchise will be confident of building up some speed as the league phase of the competition heads towards its business end.

I Will Make A Comeback: Mohammad Siraj

After being held by the franchise after IPL 2021 along with Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell, a lot was expected from Mohammad Siraj. Nonetheless, the ongoing season has not worked out as expected for the right-arm pacer. With just eight wickets from 11 matches at an economy of 9.48, Siraj is battling to track down his form.

Conceding that he is a long way from content with his bowling displays, Siraj said: “These two points are very important for us. Our momentum was broken last time by CSK and now we hope to regain momentum by defeating them.

“We are happy with the two points but I am not happy with my performance. I have not lived up to the expectations of the fans, but believe in me, I will make a comeback.”

RCB will next confront SRH at the Wankhede Stadium in a day game on May 8 (Sunday).
