The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season was a calamity for Mumbai Indians, with the five-time champions completing at the lower part of the table with only four successes out of 14 league matches.

In a video shared by the Mumbai Indians, a frustrated Yadav, who missed the beginning and end of the league as a result of injuries said, “We’ve to lift the sixth (trophy) anyhow. It’s unfortunate that it can’t happen this year. Next year, we have to add one more trophy anyhow.”

Yadav, was one of only a handful of exceptional brilliant spots for Mumbai in a forgettable season, being their second-most noteworthy run-getter by scoring 303 runs in eight matches at an average of 43.29 and strike rate of 145.67, hitting three half-centuries.

Suryakumar Yadav Lauds MI Youngster Dewald Brevis

The South African hitter featured for the MI after Yadav was ruled out of the IPL 2022. Brevis has been doing great starting from the beginning of this current year and has previously made a major name for himself in the ICC U-19 World Cup.

“He (Dewald Brevis) is new to the set-up, so he should understand. They are explaining to him what it takes to lift that trophy, which is good,” he said. Yadav had a magnificent individual season with the bat however the team was unable to handle a steady mix and was quick to crash out of the playoff games race.
