IPL 2022: Michael Vaughan Applauds Mumbai Indians For Purchasing Dewald Brevis

Former England captain Michael Vaughan praised the Mumbai Indians for signing Dewald Brevis, saying the young South African batsman has shown glimpses of his tremendous potential in the IPL 2022.

The five-time champions paid Rs 3 crore for Brevis in the IPL mega auction, up from a basic price of just Rs 20 lakh.

Brevis has so far scored 29 runs, 8 runs, and 49 runs in IPL 2022, demonstrating his ability.

He also struck the league’s longest six of the season yesterday night, hitting Chahar for 112 meters.

Mumbai Indians Fined 24 lakh Fined For Slow over rate:

On Wednesday at the MCA Stadium in Pune, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was reprimanded for his team’s slow over-rate during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match against the Punjab Kings (April 13).

The Mumbai Indians had broken the IPL’s Code of Conduct for minimum overrate infractions for the second time this season.

Mumbai Indian captain Rohit Sharma was fined Rs 24 lakhs, while the rest of the playing eleven were fined Rs 6 lakhs or 25% of their match money, whichever is less, according to an IPL media release.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 12 runs at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Wednesday in the ongoing IPL 2022 season. Despite an aim of 199, MI was limited to a total of 186 for nine. Odean Smith was the best bowler for PBKS, with four wickets. MI’s leading scorer is Dewald Brevis, who has a counter-attacking 49 points.
