Sunil Gavaskar, the former Indian captain, gave some amusing advice to hitters on how to deal with Umran Malik.

Umran Malik, the new pace sensation for Sunrisers Hyderabad, has illuminated the Indian Premier League’s 2022 campaign with his spectacular skills and fiery pace bowling.

In the latest edition of the world’s wealthiest franchise cricket league, the 22-year-old from Jammu City has taken 15 wickets in nine matches and is in fifth place on the list of top wicket-takers. But, further, than his wicket-taking skills, the teenager has established a reputation for bowling extremely quickly.

He frequently exceeds 150 kmph, and on Sunday (May 2), during Match 46 against Chennai Super Kings, he created a new tournament mark by bowling a 154 kmph ball against former Indian skipper MS Dhoni in the CSK innings’ final over.

He was also unable to secure any wicket against the four-time champions, as his four-over performance was smashed for 48 runs.

Umran, on the other hand, was in top form in the player’s ninth league match against Gujarat Titans, and he managed to pick up his first fifer in the cash-rich competition.
The youngster pacer proved dangerous against the Titans, taking 5 for 25 in his four-over performance.

Sunil Gavaskar, the former Indian captain, gave some humorous advice to batsmen on how to approach the bowler.

“Take a single and go to the non-end,” striker’s the former great remarked on Star Sports.

“Make sure he doesn’t see your stumps. Cover all three stumps so he can see where the off stump is and where the leg stump is when he goes into the bowl,” Sunil Gavaskar explained.

The Sunrisers are in fourth place in the league table, with five victories in nine games played so far, and are on course to qualify for the playoffs after placing last in the 2021 season of the league.
