Former England captain Michael Vaughan has remarked that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) performed admirably in IPL 2022 despite a lack of Virat Kohli’s maximum contribution. He said that if the top batsman can regain his flow in the following two games, they might become a tough team to beat.

With 14 points from 12 games, RCB is now fourth in the points table.

With so many teams competing for playoff positions, Bangalore will have to win one of their two games to remain in the competition. While Bangalore is a good team, their inconsistencies have cost them, and Kohli’s lack of performance hasn’t helped matters.

Michael Vaughan continued, “They’ve performed admirably at times. They’ve had a few games where things have gone wrong. They got to this point without Virat’s support. He’s barely 20 and only 115-120 He hasn’t had a good time. With the caliber of Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and others, this is such a tough team to beat if he can regain form.”

Michael Vaughan was surprised with RCB’s bowling options:

Bangalore might be a tough team to beat if team batting goes perfectly, according to the former England captain Michael Vaughan, as they have a good bowling attack. He noted that RCB has an edge due to spin choices, as worn-out wickets will provide more help.

“The bowling line-up is superb,” he concluded of Bangalore. It’s an impressive bowling option. They have such several spin alternatives, especially now that the wickets are wearing down.”

“They have some nice lineups, although they have two important games ahead of them that will be difficult to win. They have a chance to make it through if they keep playing as they did in the previous game.”

On Friday, Royal Challengers Bangalore will face the Punjab Kings (PBKS) before facing the Gujarat Titans (GT) in their last league match on May 19.
