When the momentum began to move away from his squad, Mumbai Indians team director Zaheer Khan said his team needed to close situations. The Mumbai Indians’ losing run continued in the IPL this season, with four consecutive losses.

Mumbai Indians (MI) were defeated by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday in Pune, and the team is yet to win a game.

“Close scenarios,” Zaheer Khan explained when asked what was wrong. You must be able to close those game moments while the momentum is shifting. We haven’t been able to do it as a group.

As a result, that is something we must concentrate on. Concentrate on the positives, on the things that are working for us, and continue to expand on them. “We’ve got a long season ahead of us, so we’ve got to keep things tight and keep improving.”

In the past, the Mumbai Indians have been able to turn the battleship around in the middle of the season. They’ve had a reputation for being sluggish starters, but with eleven games remaining, they’re hoping to turn things around. The team has yet to identify a combination they can rely on in the future.

Zaheer Khan believes the squad should focus on the group’s spark:

“There are 11 league games left to play.” We need to get back on track. You’ve seen how teams can go on a losing streak or earn a winning streak in this competition. It’s simply a matter of (earning the first) victory.”

“You become tense at times, and you begin to doubt yourself in situations where the stakes are highest. So that’s something we have to be aware of and keep an eye out for in the group,” Zaheer Khan said.

In Saturday night’s Indian Premier League match, MI was thrashed by RCB by seven wickets. Both Rohit Sharma’s team and the Chennai Super Kings have now lost their first four games of the competition, and they have a difficult assignment to reach the playoffs.
