IPL 2022 auction saw some terrific signings in the two-day event that had some interruptions after the regular auctioneer Hugh Edmeades collapsed on the first day due to Postural Hypotension.

Ishan Kishan made a resounding comeback with the five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians after the franchise snapped him up for a colossal amount of INR 15.25 crore.

The Jharkhand wicketkeeper-batter was the most expensive purchase in the high-profile event. Deepak Chahar was second on the list after CSK bought him for 14 crores.

A total of 204 players were sold in the span of two days aggregating a sum of 551.7 crores as 10 teams were left with content to build up a formidable squad.

However, there was also a disappointment as many great names didn’t manage to find a buyer like Suresh Raina, who scored 5528 runs from 205 IPL matches went unsold.

4) Amit Mishra

Mishra remains to be the only player in the tournament to have claimed three hat-tricks. His first one came for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) against Deccan Chargers in 2008.

He repeated the feat for Chargers against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in 2011 and two years later again did it for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013.
