KKR vs SRH: Watch - Tim Southee Takes A Stunning Reflex Catch To Dismiss Rahul Tripathi

Rahul Tripathi couldn’t repeat his heroics against his former team Kolkata Knight Riders as he had done earlier in the season for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In the first encounter between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders Tripathi had scored 71 runs off 37 balls to take his side home in a chase of 176 runs.

But on Saturday, in a similar chase of 178, Tim Southee dismissed Tripathi for 9 runs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad In A Spot Of Bother

SRH did not get to the best of starts in their chase of 178 as Kane Williamson once again couldn’t get going as he was dismissed for just 9 runs. He was once again dismissed by Andre Russell as was the case the last time these two teams met.

Abhishek Sharma was going great guns at one end but as Rahul Tripathi looked to target Tim Southee he was dismissed. Southee bowled a fuller delivery which Tripathi hit with brute force. But it was hit straight. Southee popped out his hands and caught the ball. It was more a case of the ball finding his hands than him catching the ball.

Tripathi’s dismissal was a big setback for SRH as they have lost 4 games on the trot and a loss more would hurt their chances immensely as far as qualifying for the playoffs are concerned. Tripathi has been the much-needed intent merchant for SRH this season. His wicket was worth gold for KKR.

Earlier Andre Russell played yet another gem of an innings to take KKR’s total to 177 runs as at one point they were struggling at 98-5. He hit 20 off the last over against Washinton Sundar to put up a par total on the board.
