Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC), has already made an impact as a captain in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Pant, who is still in the early stages of his captaincy career, has established himself as an active captain who enjoys staying one step ahead of his opponents. DC’s players and support personnel have recently been observed praising their skipper.
Shane Watson, a DC assistant coach, was overheard admiring the young captain. As per the former Australian all-rounder,
“He leads, keeps, and hits in such a way that he simply takes the game on no matter what the scenario is. That is why he is so entertaining to watch.”
Ajit Agarkar, the skipper’s bowling coach, also praised the 24-year-old captain, Rishabh Pant’s game-reading ability was praised by the former India all-rounder.
“One is that he understands the game extremely well, as evidenced by the way he has built his own game and progressed. He’ll always be a capable leader.”
Warner’s opinion on Rishabh Pant as a Skipper:
When questioned about Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, Warner stated,
“Rishabh is someone I’d like to learn how to play one-handed shots from. He’s a young man learning the ropes of leadership, and he’s also a valuable member of the Indian team. I’m ecstatic, and I can’t wait to be in the batter’s box with him in the middle.”
The opening batter, speaking about the Delhi Capitals’ upcoming encounter against the Lucknow Super Giants, said,
“All we have to do now is put our best foot forward and play the entire game. The most important aspect of the game is fielding, and if we can hold our catches and field well, we can go a long way in this tournament.”
On Thursday, the Delhi Capitals will face the Lucknow Super Giants on April 7.
