Mumbai Indians losing streak continued after KKR outsmarted them on Wednesday by five wickets at the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah and Tymal Mills, the Mumbai Indians bowling attack in IPL 2022 looks wearisome.

MI lost its first game to Delhi Capitals by five wickets and eventually recorded an unwanted feat of losing the first match of IPL for 10 consecutive seasons. The last time Mumbai Indians won their first game of IPL was against arch-rivals CSK in IPL 2012.

It is queer to see MI and CSK  languishing at the bottom of the points table after both of them lost their first three games of IPL 2022.

Mumbai Indians have some promising talent in their squads like Tilak Varma and South African youngster Dewald Brevis but the duo would need more experience to win big matches for their side. Mumbai Indians star batter Suryakumar Yadav made his first appearance in IPL 2022 against KKR after the player recovered from his thumb injury.

MI also purchased England speedster Jofra Archer for INR 8 crore despite being aware of the player’s unavailability due to injury for this season.
