Jasprit Bumrah returned to his best in IPL 2022 as he picked up his first fifer in the IPL.

He got 5 wickets for just 10 runs as he rattled the Kolkata Knight Riders batting lineup.

Jasprit Bumrah Registered 2nd Best Spell For An MI Bowler

Jasprit Bumrah breathed fire with the ball. He hadn’t had a great season up until the game against KKR on Monday as he had picked up just 5 wickets from 10 games in the ongoing season of the tournament. But on Monday, he picked up 5 wickets in just 3 overs and shut KKR batters from all ends up.

He got Andre Russell’s wicket to start with, then he bounced out Nitish Rana. He returned in the 18th over and got the wickets of Sheldon Jackson, Pat Cummins and Sunil Narine. All the wickets came off short-pitched deliveries.

The 18th over was a 3-wicket maiden over. He then returned to bowl the last over of the innings and bowled a near-perfect over as Rinku Singh could manage just a single on the last ball of the over. Rinku tried his best in the last over, but with number 11 on the other end, he had no choice but to turn down singles.

Jasprit Bumrah came very close to registering the best bowling figures in the IPL. One more wicket and he would have broken the record of Alzarri Joseph who had the figures of 6-12 in 2019 against Sunrisers Hyderabad playing for MI.

Jasprit Bumrah couldn’t do much against KKR in the first game between the sides earlier in the season as Pat Cummins had played that monstrous knock to take his team over the line, but today Bumrah was in a completely different mood.
