Sunrisers Hyderabad has one of the best bowling units in the IPL with a lot of Indian talented stars and they have picked up some good additions in the 2021 Auction. Sunrisers retained most of their players ahead of the auction but released their tall Australian fast bowler Billy Stanlake.

They went about things very quietly in the auction and picked up excellent buys of Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Kedar Jadhav, and Jagadeesha Suchith. They produced a good comeback at the back end of the tournament last year but lost to Delhi Capitals in qualifier 2.

IPL 2021: 5 Bowlers From Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Who Can Be The Highest Wicket Taker:

5. Khaleel Ahmed

The left-arm seamer has been in and out of the squad in the last year and he will need an excellent performance in this IPL to keep himself intact for a place in the Indian squad. He can go for runs but is always a wicket-taker which will work in favour of him.

He has taken 27 wickets in the 17 IPL games he has played so far and finished as the fifth-highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2019 season which was his best. He will be aiming to take a leaf out of his book from the 2019 season and bring out the best in him.

4. Jason Holder

Jason Holder came in as the replacement for Mitchell Marsh last year who missed out due to injury and was the perfect fit in the team. He finished off games down the order and picked in 14 wickets in the 7 games he played. He was very impressive and did not stop taking wickets.

A lot will be expected from him this year after his good performance in the previous season and he will have to fight for his place with the Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi.

3. T Natarajan

The Tamil Nadu lad was the most impressive among the fast bowlers and earned his maiden call for the nation owing to his excellent performances. He picked up 16 wickets in 16 games in the previous edition and bowled the difficult overs for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

His ability to nail the yorkers, again and again, was a massive success and he is in line to make it to the T20 world cup squad in October. He will be hoping to do well again this year and pick a lot more wickets.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the leader of the pace attack in the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad and has picked up the purple cap in two successive years of 2016 and 2017. His two overs in the powerplay and two overs in the death are very crucial to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s success in the tournament.

He has taken 136 wickets in 121 games in his IPL career so far and he does not give any freebees easily. His injury concerns will be a huge factor and if he plays the whole tournament, he will surely be a contender for the purple cap.

1. Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan has been the trump card for Sunrisers Hyderabad over the years and is no surprise that he is the number one T20 bowler in the world. His four overs are so crucial and the opponents have always planned to not lose wickets against him which he looks to thrive on.

He hasn’t won the purple cap yet which he will be having an eye on in the upcoming edition. He is surely a contender to become the highest wicket-taker with 75 wickets in 62 games in his IPL career.
