IPL 2021: Complete List Of Players Who Have Joined As Replacements For The UAE Leg.

The second leg of the IPL 2021 is all set to begin on 19th September 2021 in UAE. Franchises such as Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have reached the gulf nation and have already begun their preparations for IPL 2021.

The other franchises are expected to reach UAE by the end of this month. Ahead of the start of IPL 2021, a few teams dealt with major blows as some of their players pulled out of the IPL 2021 second phase due to various reasons.

The franchises, over the last week or so, had been on the lookout for the replacements. As per the latest IPL media advisory, the teams have announced all the replacements for their respective squads. Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Rajasthan Royals are a few franchises who dealt majorly with the issue.

RCB have roped in Wanindu Hasaranga as Adam Zampa’s replacement. Sri Lanka’s spinner made headlines in the recent T20 series against India. He took 7 wickets with the ball, including four-for in the last game. Besides, the franchises included Dushmanta Chameera, George Garton, Tim David as replacements for Daniel Sams, Kane Richardson, and Tim David.

For Rajasthan Royals, Jos Buttler has made himself unavailable for the second leg of the tournament due to the impending birth of his second child. New Zealand’s batsman, Glenn Phillips has been included as Buttler’s replacement. Phillips has played 25 T20Is and has 506 runs against his name. Besides, South Africa’s Tabraiz Shamsi has been included to replace Andrew Tye in the Rajasthan Royals squad.

Punjab Kings were dealt with a huge blow after fast bowlers Riley Meredith and Jhye Richardson opted out of the second leg of IPL 2021. KL Rahul and Co. have named Nathan Ellis and Adil Rashid as replacements.

Pat Cummins, KKR’s lead pacer, has also made himself unavailable for the second phase of IPL 2021. Kolkata Knight Riders have named Tim Southee as his replacement for IPL 2021.
