The star England all-rounder Sam Curran who represents Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) won’t be available for selection in the first game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 UAE leg.

Notably, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will kick off their UAE leg of the IPL 2021 with a battle against defending champions Mumbai Indians on September 19.

Meanwhile, Sam Curran was part of the England vs India 5-match Test series which recently ended after the cancellation of the 5th Test match.

Meanwhile, the English all-rounder landed in UAE on Wednesday (September 15) morning. Now he will have to complete the mandatory quarantine period before he starts training with his teammates.

As per the protocols, those coming from the United Kingdom will have to quarantine themselves for 6 days. During this period players will have several COVID-19 tests and once they clear everything they are allowed to join their respective Franchises.

Which made him one of the most economical buys for CSK in the history of the tournament. So far he hasn’t done much in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Santner has picked 6 wickets in 126 balls at an average of 24.50 economy of 7.00 and strike rate of 21.00.

Mitchell Santner will be a great option for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to add to the playing XI in the absence of the English all-rounder Sam Curran. His slow left-arm deliveries might turn to be very effective in the slow United Arab Emirates tracks.

Recently, Cricket South Africa (CSA) didn’t pick Imran Tahir in South Africa’s T20 World Cup squad.

However, Imran Tahir will be available for selection in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. In the absence of England all-rounder Sam Curran, the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise can add Imran Tahir to the squad.

Meanwhile, So far Imran Tahir has picked 82 wickets in the cash-rich T20 league and a highly impressive average of 20.76 and economy of 7.76. Imran Tahir has got a strike rate of 16.04 and he has successfully registered as many as 3 four wickets hauls in his bag.

K Gowtham is the most expensive uncapped player ever bought by a franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise broke the bank to sign uncapped Indian bowling all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham for a whopping Rs 9.25 crore.

However, he remained unutilized in the first phase of the tournament. Krishnappa Gowtham didn’t play a match in the first half of IPL 2021.

So far Krishnappa Gowtham has played 24 matches in 3 IPL seasons and has bagged 13 wickets at an average of 43.23 economy rate of 8.26 and strike rate of 31.38. Meanwhile, with the bat 32-year-old has smashed 186 runs at an average of 14.30 and strike rate of 169.09.

In the absence of Sam Curran, he might get an opportunity to finally showcase his skills for Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
