Chetan Sakariya, the left-arm medium-fast pacer from Bhavnagar, is making huge roars in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.2 crore after he snapped 12 wickets in 5 Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 matches at an outstanding economy of 4.90.
He has played all the 3 matches so far for the Royals; Sakariya was even picked in the line-up for the first game over his Saurashtra captain and senior pacer, Jaydev Unadkat.
He has picked up 6 wickets so far at an economy of 8.33 and an average of 16.67 while impressing everyone with the use of his variations. Chetan Sakariya is on the fray for winning the Emerging Player of the Season award, albeit it would be incredibly premature to call it after just a dozen completed games hitherto.

MS Dhoni’s side moves up to the third position on the points table post their emphatic win over the Royals, who are now placed on the sixth spot. CSK meets Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday while RR face-off Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday.
