Rajasthan Royals young pacer Kartik Tyagi reacted to Mumbai Indians ace bowler Jasprti Bumrah’s compliment.
On Tuesday, the 20-year-old bowler stunned everyone by pulling off a spectacular victory for Rajasthan Royals in a thrilling manner.
Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal’s opening stand of 120 runs set the tone for Punjab’s chase with Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram promising to finish the game.
Punjab needed just four runs in the final over as both Pooran and Markram were looking good at the crease.
The Uttar Pradesh bowler conceded just one run in a nerve-wracking situation and got the wickets of Pooran and Deepak Hooda to help the Royals turn the match by two runs.
Bumrah took to his Twitter handle to appreciate the youngster’s stupendous performance against Punjab King.
“What an over, #KartikTyagi! To maintain a cool head under that kind of pressure and to get the job done, great stuff, very impressive! #PBKSvRR #IPL2021,” Bumrah tweeted.

Earlier in the game, youngsters Yashasvi Jaiswal (49) and Mahipal Lomror (43) laid the foundation for Rajasthan Royals to set up a humongous total in the first innings.
But some tight bowling by Arshdeep Singh (5/32) and Mohammed Shami (3/21) restricted Sanju Samson and his men at 185.
Rajasthan Royals are missing the services of their star overseas players like Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes as all three of them are unavailable to participate in the second leg of IPL 2021.
In the England troika’s absence, Evin Lewis and Liam Livingstone have stood up for the team.
Rajasthan Royals regained the fifth spot after winning their fourth match in the tournament and will face Delhi Capitals on September 25 in Abu Dhabi.
