The 12th match of IPL 2021 will see Rajasthan Royals lock horns with the Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai. Two wicketkeeper-batsman and captains in Sanju Samson and MS Dhoni have the responsibility of finding consistency for their sides. Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings have both lost and won one each so far and would need more compelling performances.

Chennai Super Kings clashed with the Delhi Capitals in their opening game and lost comprehensively by seven wickets. They managed 188 in 20 overs; however, the opening partnership between Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan laid the foundation for a comfortable win. But the three-time champions bounced back well, beating the Punjab Kings by six wickets after restricting them to 106 in 20 overs.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals sustained a narrow defeat by four runs in the opening match at the Wankhede Stadium to the Punjab Kings. The inaugural IPL champions found themselves in a precarious position in the second fixture against the Delhi Capitals, chasing a modest 148. But David Miller and Chris Morris delivered a thrilling win for the Royals to open their account. The yellow army would also fancy their chances against the Royals as they have won 14 out of the 24 matches between the two sides.

IPL 2021, Match 12- Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR)- Toss Report:

Rajasthan Royals’ Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl, similar to the instance that occurred in his first match as captain. Both the Royals and the yellow army have gone with an unchanged team. The Royals would expect their opener Jos Buttler to fire as he has been far from his best for a while now. With Ben Stokes ruled out of entire season already, the pressure piles on Chris Morris to perform the all-rounder’s role more incredibly.
