Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Jason Holder on Wednesday talked about young sensational bowler Umran Malik after the latter impressed everyone with his speed.
SRH defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by four runs at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi to win their third game of the season.
Riding on opener Jason Roy (44) and skipper Williamson’s (31) knocks SRH posted 141/7 on a sluggish track where the ball was hard to connect for the batters.
SRH defended 141 against RCB as Umran Malik picks maiden IPL wicket
SRH’s lead pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave them the perfect start to defend the total as he got rid of RCB skipper Virat Kohli in the very first over of the innings.
Siddharth Kaul got the wicket of Daniel Christian using a knuckle-ball and Malik used a short of length delivery to tickle Srikar Bharat’s glove down the leg side to get his first IPL wicket.

The Srinagar bowler has impressed the cricket fraternity with his destructive speed deliveries as he clocked more than 150kph in his first game on a couple of occasions.
In the match against RCB, Malik recorded a 153kph speed, the highest in this season, in the ninth over when he bowled Devdutt Padikkal a full toss.
Umran Malik has been pretty consistent: Jason Holder
Holder said that Malik works really hard in net sessions and also mentioned on his consistency with his speed.
“The first thing to mention is his pace, that is his biggest asset. He has been consistent in training and he has been giving us a hard time in training. He is very hard to get hold of, he has been deceiving the batters through his pace and that extra pace adds a boost to any bowling attack,” Holder said during a virtual post-match press conference.

“It is good to see his control as well, a lot of guys who have bowled quick over the years, generally they can be erratic but he has been pretty consistent,” he added.
SRH will take some pride to take from this game before they play Mumbai Indians in the final match on Friday (October 8).
