Indian captain Virat Kohli’s sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra posted an emotional message on her Instagram story after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lost the eliminator of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 against Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

The Indian captain Virat Kohli recently announced that he will be stepping down from captaincy in T20Is after T20 World Cup 2021, and a few days later, Virat Kohli made yet another shocking announcement revealing that the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be the last time he will be captaining the Bangalore franchise.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli’s sister posted an Instagram story talking about Kohli’s journey as a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper. Bhawna Kohli wrote:

You gave your best as a captain. You have always held your shoulders high no matter how the tough the situation was. You are and will always be a remarkable captain, a name synonym with RCB captaincy. Forever worthy of respect and adulation. Proud of you brother.”

Although Virat Kohli has made it clear that he will not be captaining the side anymore, he has clearly mentioned that he will be the RCB batsman till the very end of his Indian Premier League (IPL) career. He stated:

Yes definitely, I don’t see myself playing anywhere else. Loyalty matters more to me than worldly pleasures. I would be in the RCB till the last day I play in the IPL.

It will be interesting to see who will be the successor of Virat Kohli in Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB has some top captaincy contenders like AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell, but they might be thinking of giving the command to an Indian youngster, and Devdutt Padikkal would be a great choice.
