Venkatesh Iyer has been one of the names that have changed the fortunes of the Kolkata Knight Riders side in recent times in the UAE phase. The wily left-hander who made a surprise debut three games ago for the KKR side has amassed an unbeaten 41, and a half-century in the next game. He also added 18 runs in the previous game against CSK and has got starts in the games he has played.

Iyer has been opening the innings for the KKR side alongside Shubman Gill and his contribution for the side has been immense. He will play a key role if KKR has to make it to the playoffs and he has loved to take on the bowlers from the upfront. He will be one of the contenders for the man of the matching slot against the Delhi Capitals.

Andre Russell:

Andre Russell has provided the right balance for the KKR side in terms of his fast bowling and his powerful striking with the bat. He has played some outstanding innings in IPL history in the past and he showed glimpses in the game against CSK. Russell brings a different dynamic to the side and KKR will want him to fire.

Sunil Narine has been one of the silent performers on the KKR side for a long time now and he has been concentrating on his bowling a lot in IPL 2021. He has moved down the order helping him to refigure his role in the side as a pure mystery spinner and it has come good.

Narine bowled brilliantly in the previous game against CSK when he almost won the game for the KKR side in the last over. CSK needed 1 run in the last ball and they managed to get it over the field despite Narine’s persistence.
