IPL 2021: Punjab Kings Star Chris Gayle Pulls Out Of Remainder Of The Tournament

Punjab Kings (PBKS) batsman Chris Gayle has decided to pull out from the remainder of IPL 2021 citing fatigue due to staying in the bio-bubble for a long time, and to “mentally recharge and refresh myself” for the T20 World Cup.
Chris Gayle has been in the bio-bubbles for months – for West Indies’ home series against Australia, South Africa, and Pakistan; then playing franchise cricket in the CPL 2021 and the second half of the IPL 2021.
The bubble life will continue for another couple of months as the T20 World Cup, to be played in Oman and the UAE, will start just a few days after the IPL 2021 will conclude. Hence, the left-hander has taken this decision.
“Over the last few months, I have been a part of the CWI bubble, CPL bubble followed by the IPL bubble, and I wish to mentally recharge and refresh myself,” Chris Gayle said.
