RCB, once again, was ineffective in the powerplay overs with the ball but came back stronger in the second half of the innings. At the halfway stage, RCB picked only one wicket and conceded runs at close to 6 an over. However, the second half of the innings saw them picking as many as 9 wickets.

Harshal Patel, once again, starred with the ball as he didn’t let SRH make a great finish to the inning. Patel picked three wickets for 33 runs. Earlier, Daniel Christian picked two wickets in a single over to seize the momentum in the fifteenth over.

Chahal also continued to impress one and all with his 1 for 27 in 4 overs. Ahead of the game against Delhi Capitals, RCB would be desperate to consolidate their position on the table and get the momentum back.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals are at the first position with 10 wins in 13 matches. They would finish in the top-two if even if they lose on Wednesday. Delhi Capitals registered a morale-boosting 3-wicket win against CSK in their last game. The likes of Axar Patel, Ravi Ashwin and Norje didn’t let CSK batsmen settle down in the middle overs as the trio left them reeling at 62 for 4 after 8. 3 overs in the first innings.

Ambati Rayudu’s 55-run knock, however, gave CSK something to defend. CSK finished their innings at 136 for 5 in the first innings. Delhi Capitals too were guilty of throwing away starts and as a result of that, they lost wickets at regular intervals.

Shikhar Dhawan kept the hopes alive with 39 off 35, however, his wicket in the 15th over saw an atmosphere of tension in the DC dugout. Shimron Hetmyer, however, kept his nerves and played an unbeaten 28 runs off 18 balls to guide his side home with two balls remaining.
