RR vs CSK: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Predicted Playing XI Against Rajasthan Royals (RR)- IPL 2021 Match 47. Chennai Super Kings became the first team to qualify for the playoffs after beating SRH by 6 wickets on Thursday. They have secured 9 wins in 11 matches and therefore occupy the number one spot on the points table.

MS Dhoni and Co. are scheduled to play their next game against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. They haven’t lost a single game in the second leg of IPL 2021 thus far and would want to maintain that winning streak.

Ahead of a highly anticipated contest against RR on Saturday, here’s a look at our predicted playing XI of CSK:

Openers: Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis

Both the openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis are in blistering form with the bat. The duo has stitched numerous vital partnerships at the top of the order for the side. Faf du Plessis is currently the third-highest run-getter in the tournament, scoring 435 runs in 11 matches at an average of 48.33. Ruturaj Gaikwad, on the other hand, is fifth on the list, with 407 runs in 11 matches at an average of 40.70.

Middle-Order: Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni

Moeen Ali has been playing outstanding cameos at number three for CSK and is responsible for upping the ante in the middle overs. Striking at 141.12, Ali has managed to score 278 runs in 10 matches. Ambati Rayudu too has managed to grab whatever opportunities has come his way. He has played some heart-warming knocks in the tournament.

Striking at close to 170, Rayudu has managed to score 179 runs in 11 matches. Suresh Raina’s form with the bat is perhaps the only worry for CSK at the moment. However, with the team doing well, it’s unlikely that he would be replaced with any other batsman in the middle order.

MS Dhoni should lead the side for the game on Saturday. He finished the game in his trademark style in the last game against SRH. Dhoni struck a couple of boundaries during his innings and that would give him a lot of confidence.

All-rounders: Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo and Shardul Thakur

All three all-rounders are likely to be retained in the playing XI. Dwayne Bravo has been brilliant in the second leg of IPL 2021 for CSK. He currently has the most wickets for the franchise.

In 7 games, he has managed to pick 11 wickets. Besides, Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja have been doing a decent job in the middle overs.

Bowlers: Deepak Chahar and Josh Hazlewood

Deepak Chahar has had silent outings in the last couple of games. Though, CSK won’t be worrying too much as of now. Given the kind of talent he is, one should expect him to make a stellar comeback.

Josh Hazlewood exhibit his best performance of IPL 2021 in the last game against SRH. He returned with figures of 3 for 24 runs in 4 overs. Both are, once again, expected to lead the pace attack.
