Suresh Raina Reveals Whether He’ll Travel To The UAE For The IPL 2021 Or Not

CSK had a terrible outing in the IPL 2020, as for the first time in IPL history, they failed to make it into the playoffs, finishing 6th on the points table. However, in the IPL 2021, the team captained by MS Dhoni has found their mojo back and has 5 wins from 7 matches, placing them 2nd on the points table.

Meanwhile, Suresh Raina has given an update on whether he’ll travel to Dubai for the IPL 2021 or not. Raina was one of the marquee players to withdraw from the IPL 2020, despite traveling to the UAE with the CSK team. However, when 13 cases of COVID-19 positive were found in the CSK camp, Raina cited anxiety and returned back home, missing the whole tournament and his absence was felt badly by the team.

However, this time around, he has confirmed that he’ll be traveling to Dubai for the IPL 2021, as he posted a photo with captain MS Dhoni with the caption reading, “See you soon Dubai @msdhoni @IPL @ChennaiIPL.”

The former CSK vice-captain had scored a half-century in his comeback game against Delhi Capitals. He scored 69 runs in the next 6 matches. However, he was batting at the no.4 spot as Dhoni-led CSK had Moeen Ali batting at no.3. However, with ECB confirming that England players will not be allowed to return to the IPL 2021, Raina might go back to his preferred position.
