Watch: Prithvi Shaw Checks Beyond His Underpants And Smiles After Being Hit On The Crotch

A video has surfaced online wherein Delhi Capitals’ young batsman, Prithvi Shaw can be seen looking beyond his underpants on the field and smiling after being hit on the crotch by Punjab Kings’ pacer, Riley Meredith. Delhi Capitals took on Punjab Kings in match 29 of IPL 2021 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

Having won the toss, Rishabh Pant, the DC skipper, elected to bowl first. Punjab were handed a massive blow as their skipper, KL Rahul was diagnosed with acute appendicitis ahead of the game and will now have to undergo surgery. Mayank Agarwal took over the captaincy responsibilities in Rahul’s absence and he led from the front by being not out on 99 runs at the end of the first innings, carrying Punjab to a total of 166 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs.

As Delhi Capitals walked into bat for the chase, Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan once again gave a fiery start to the Delhi-based franchise as both these batsmen smashed the Punjab bowlers all over the park and stitched together a partnership of 63 runs for the first wicket. However, an interesting incident took place in the 2nd innings as Riley Meredith hit Prithvi Shaw on the crotch on the final delivery of the 3rd over.

Shaw was seen in agonizing pain right after being hit as he fell to the ground and laid there for a couple of minutes before the DC physio ran onto the ground. However, the relieving news for DC was that Shaw recovered quickly. Now, a video has surfaced online wherein Prithvi Shaw can be seen checking beneath his underpants and smiling after being hit by the ball of Meredith.

 Delhi Capitals Register Their 6th Win Of The Tournament To Go On The Top Of The Points Table

As Delhi Capitals took on Punjab Kings in their 8th match of IPL 2021, they won the game quite comfortably in the end by 7 wickets to register their 6th win of the tournament and go on top of the IPL 2021 points table. Delhi now have 12 points in the table followed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively with 10 points each.

Shikhar Dhawan was the Man of the Match for the Delhi-based franchise as he once again scored a scintillating half-century and remained not out on 69 runs off 47 balls. He has once again regained the Orange Cap too. Next up, Delhi Capitals will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 08 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
