Chasing the target, DC came out with an aggressive mindset as they took RCB pacers to the cleaners. David Waner (22) and Philip Salt (87) smashed 60 runs for the opening partnership in just 5.1 overs. Mitchell Marsh (26) then chipped in too with a cameo.

But the real show came from the bat of Salt. The English batter scored 87 runs and took the game away from RCB. Rilee Roussow chipped in with a good hand too as he smashed unbeaten 35 runs to take his side home in just 16.4 overs.
David Warner said their plan was to take on Mohammed Siraj early on and Slat pave the way for them with his brilliant knock. Speaking at the post-match presentation, he said:
“Amazing. I thought it was a par score, the ball was skidding. But the way we came out led by Phil Salt paved the way. Our intention was to take on Siraj, he’s been bowling well and taking wickets early. His wickets have been bowled or LBW so we wanted to drag his length back.”
DC vs RCB: “Credit to the way the bowlers bowled,” says David Warner
David Warner further went on to credit his bowlers for the exceptional performance. He added that they will now try to carry the momentum in their next game. He elaborated:
“Credit to the way the bowlers bowled, Anrich is not there but Ishant is leading the pack with Khaleel. And Kuldeep and Axar as well have been brilliant. It is all about momentum, we are finding the right balance at the right time. Now we go to Chennai and try to get a performance there, I know it will be tough.”
Delhi Capitals (DC) will be next seen in action when they will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their next game on Wednesday (10th May).
