Rashid Khan of Afghanistan has risen to the top of the ICC T20I bowling rankings. Khan has managed to exceed all of his opponents and grab the coveted spot for himself thanks to his outstanding performance on the field.
Rashid Khan, who recently led Afghanistan to a historic 2-1 series win over Pakistan in Sharjah, concluded with three wickets at a 5.16 economy rate. Notably, he went more than 100 balls without allowing a boundary.

In the bowling rankings, his teammate Fazalhaq Farooqi has climbed to a career-high third place, while Mujeeb Ur Rahman has moved up two spots to ninth following a strong performance in the Pakistan series. Afghanistan has three bowlers in the top 10 as a consequence.

South African batters Rilee Rossouw and Reeza Hendricks have advanced in the batters’ ladder. Hendricks moved up eight spots to number 12 after finishing with 172 runs at a strike rate of 204.76 in the just-concluded series against the West Indies. The 24-year-old Rashid Khan first gained top billing as the No. 1 T20I bowler back in 2018 and has since been a very reliable player in the game’s shortest format. In Sharjah, the right-armer picked up a wicket against Pakistan in each of the three games, with his stingy economy rate in both of Afghanistan’s triumphs in the opening two games of the series standing out.

It was the first time Afghanistan had defeated Pakistan in a bilateral T20I series, and star spinner Rashid Khan was the biggest winner, surpassing Sri Lankan tweaker Wanindu Hasaranga to reclaim the top spot in the T20I bowling rankings.
As per recent stellar performances, India opener Shubman Gill has risen to a career-high rating of 738 points in fifth place in the ICC ODI batting rankings, while Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has climbed one spot to eighth overall.
