In Tim Southee and Umesh Yadav, KKR have two good new ball bowlers. KKR traded Lockie Ferguson back who generally bowls as the first change for his national side. In Chris Jordan, KKR will get an out-and-out specialist death bowler.

His performances in his last two T20Is for England show why he is trusted by his teammates to get the job done. With a remaining purse of INR 7.50 crores and three overseas slots available, Chris Jordan should be one of KKR’s targets although he has registered himself for INR 2 Crores-the maximum base price bracket in IPL 2023 auctions.

2. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

Lucknow Super Giants- LSG retained Mark Wood, despite the England speedster missing the entire IPL 2022 season due to injury. Mark Wood has been injury prone in his career for a long-time now.

Lucknow can target Chris Jordan in the upcoming IPL 2023 auction and keep him as Mark Wood’s backup. The rest of the bowlers in the squad are mainly bowlers like pacers Avesh Khan, Marcus Stoinis, Kyle Mayers, Mayank Yadav, and Mohsin Khan who can bowl at the start and through the middle.

Chris Jordan is also one of the best fielders in modern cricket and one of the fittest cricketers as well. Lucknow has a remaining purse of INR 23.35 crores after the retention window. He has registered himself for INR 2 Crores-the maximum base price bracket in IPL 2023 auctions.

3. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Chris Jordan has played a couple of matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad-SRH before in the IPL. With a purse remaining of over 40 crores and looking to revamp their squad, Hyderabad should look to rope in Chris Jordan as of their key players.

He can resolve the death bowling woes of the franchise and his fielding will always be an added bonus. He has registered himself for INR 2 Crores-the maximum base price bracket in IPL 2023 auctions, which won’t be much of a problem for SRH, as they have the highest purse of INR 42.25 Crores remaining among all 10 franchises in IPL 2023.
