Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri-Lankan player, was brought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 10.75 crores in IPL 2022 mega auction. The star cricketer from the Island nation has grabbed the opportunity with both hands. In 14 matches, he has scalped 24 wickets and is the current purple cap holder in IPL 2022. He is currently also the leading wicket-taker in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 and tops the list with 13 wickets this far.
CSK, on the other hand, has been missing a quality spinner since the time Imran Tahr, Harbhajan Singh, and Piyush Chawla left the side. In this scenario, Wanindu Hasaranga seems to be the best bet.
