IPL 2023: Shikhar Dhawan Believes That The IPL Is An Excellent Platform For All Youngsters

India opener Shikhar Dhawan believes the IPL has benefited Indian youth significantly, claiming that today’s players are more confident than previous generations.

IPL 2023 is tentatively slated between March 25 and May 28, 2023. The BCCI created two new teams ahead of IPL 2022, meaning IPL 2023 will have ten teams.

“In the IPL, all of these young guys have the opportunity to share the dressing room with world-class players, not just Indian players but also international players.” When these young people perform well and discover they can perform even in a team full of international players, they gain confidence.”

“I’ve seen that the newer players are more confident than previous generations. In comparison to when I made my India debut, my self-esteem has skyrocketed. “Because these young players get so much exposure, I believe the IPL has benefited Indian cricket,” Dhawan remarked.

Shikhar Dhawan heaps of praise on Arshdeep Singh:

Shikhar Dhawan, India’s opener, has praised young India bowler Arshdeep Singh, calling him a match-winner for India. Arshdeeep has been in excellent form for Team India in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with 9 wickets in four matches.

“He is a match-winner. If you see, he won the game for India against Bangladesh in the last over. Of course, he is very skillful but he also has great self-belief,” said Dhawan.

“He is a youngster but he is very mature. It’s not important to be old to be mature. For example, Virat Kohli was very mature from a young age. As an individual, you should know your strengths and work on them. Arshdeep’s self-belief is very strong,” Dhawan added.

For India during the current ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Arshdeep Singh has been in excellent form. Against Pakistan, the 22-year-old claimed a three-wicket haul. He then claimed two wickets against South Africa, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands. For India, his performance against Zimbabwe on November 6 will be crucial.
