Mayank Agarwal was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad during IPL 2023 auction. The team bought the Indian player for Rs. 8.25 crores during the auction. Mayank Agarwal had set a base price of Rs. 1 crore for himself in IPL 2023 auction.

Mayank Agarwal is a right-handed batsman who usually plays as an opener or in the top order. He is 31 years old. He has been part of the IPL since the 2011 edition and has played numerous games in the tournament.

Mayank Agarwal Was Released By Punjab Kings

Mayank Agarwal was part of the Punjab Kings in IPL 2022. However, he was released by the team ahead of IPL 2023 auction. Agarwal led the team in the 2022 edition but could not lead the team to a good show.

The right-handed batsman played 13 games in IPL 2022 and scored 196 runs at an average of 16.33 with 1 fifty. Over the years, he has played 113 matches in the Indian Premier League. At an average of 22.59 and strike rate of 134+, Agarwal has hit 2327 runs in IPL. This includes 1 century and 12 half-centuries.
