IPL legend Suresh Raina has named 15-year-old Allah Mohammad of Afghanistan as the player that might ignite the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction. On Friday, December 23, the mini-auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is set to take place in Kochi. Suresh Raina Picks Allah Mohammad, Samarth Vyas, And Mujtaba Yousuf As One’s To Watch

Suresh Raina, a former cricketer for India, has offered his thoughts on a few of the rookie players that the IPL clubs are likely to be interested in signing. The left-handed batsman first chose Mujtaba Yousuf, a left-arm bowler for Jammu and Kashmir who had previously played against him and even dismissed him.

Samarth Vyas of Saurashtra, who excelled in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and struck the most sixes during the competition, was also mentioned by Raina (22). Vyas contributed significantly to Saurashtra’s victory in the just-finished Vijay Hazare Trophy by scoring a double tonne there as well. The youngest spinner in the auction, Afghanistan’s Allah Mohammad, 15, was chosen next by Raina.

“I played with Mujtaba (Yousuf) in the Syed Mushtaq Ali. As a left-arm fast bowler, he has good action and good control on the swing. Then you have Samarth Vyas from Saurashtra who has scored at a strike rate of over 150 and was among the top five run-getters in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and just won the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

He is a very good future prospect. But watch out for Allah Mohammad. At 6ft 2 inches and 15 years old, he is an off-spinner with a big heart. A lot of talent coming from Afghanistan,” said Raina.

Mohammad began training with the Afghanistan U-19 squad after competing in regional U-16 competitions. He then made his Shpageeza League debut for Mis Ainak Knights. In his first three games, he won five, including a 4/15 versus Hindkush Stars in his second match.

In his career, Raina, a renowned all-rounder, amassed 5528 runs in 205 IPL games, including 39 half-centuries and one century, with a strike rate of 136.73. Additionally, he took 25 wickets in his IPL career.
