The 53rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is currently taking place between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The visitors won the toss and opted to bat first. But they have struggled to get going in KKR’s den. 

The first wicket for PBKS fell in the form of young Prabhsimran Singh. The keeper-batter looked good to the eyes but couldn’t continue on the start he got. It was the last ball of the second over, which saw him back in the hut for 12 runs.

After Prabhsimran Singh, PBKS lost wickets in quick succession. Bhanuka Rajapaksa was back for golden duck whereas Liam Livingstone could manage just 15 runs in 9 balls.
