Former South African cricket captain AB de Villiers has chosen a CSK icon over his former RCB teammate Virat Kohli as the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T.) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

De Villiers played for RCB in the IPL for nearly a decade, with Virat Kohli.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) record-breaking performance of Virat Kohli has received considerable acclaim. He currently holds the record for most runs scored in a tournament with 6788 runs in 226 games. By amassing 973 runs in just 16 matches during the 2016 IPL, Kohli established a new standard and propelled Royal Challengers Bangalore to the championship game.

Despite his excellent performance, RCB was unsuccessful in capturing the championship that year. Since joining RCB more than ten years ago, Kohli and his South African counterpart AB de Villiers have established themselves as two of the most exciting and reliable players in the IPL.

Kohli has been a fan favourite due to his constant performance and leadership characteristics, and he is largely recognized as one of the greatest batsmen in modern cricket history.

AB de Villiers Picks MS Dhoni as G.O.A.T Of IPL:

When asked who the greatest player of all time in the IPL was, Ab De Villiers chose a former member of the Chennai Super Kings rather than Virat. De Villiers chose MS Dhoni as the G.O.A.T. of the IPL, so few people will be shocked by his decision.

When questioned in a Q&A session on Jio Cinema, “Who is the G.O.A.T. of the Tata IPL?” Ab De Villiers said, “The G.O.A.T. in the Tata IPL 2023 for me is MSD.”

MS Dhoni has participated in every single one of the Indian Premier League’s (16) editions from the league’s debut in 2008 as a player.
