Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper Aiden Markram won the toss & opted to bat first against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The elegant left-handed batter Abhishek Sharma couldn’t dictate the terms and was dismissed cheaply. Rahul Tripathi along with Anmolpreet Singh started rebuilding the innings. Rahul Tripathi took his time before unleashing an attack on the opposition.

LSG’s right-arm pacer Yudhvir Singh Charak was spot on with the line & length and conceded 13 runs in his 2-over spell and took 1 wicket. Skipper Krunal Pandya’s decision to introduce himself into the attack didn’t work well.

The lethal pacer Avesh Khan was taken to the cleaners by Rahul Tripathi who smashed him for 4 fours as all the variations of Avesh were proving to be ineffective. Tripathi was looking ominous as at the end of 5 overs, SRH’s score was 55-1.

Exciting Contest on Cards

It would be interesting to see what approach the likes of Aiden Markram & Heinrich Klaasen apply in the middle-over phase. SRH must aim to post a score in excess of 170 as the visitors have got a long and threatening batting lineup.

LSG skipper Krunal Pandya would be worried about the performance of the speedster Avesh Khan who was whacked all around the park. The role of Amit Mishra would be quite decisive as the veteran wrist spinner can fox the batters with his googly.
